This blog is just one piece of our bigger picture created with the purpose that we can explain you in a more precise way of our English programme in three rural schools: Phum Svay Village Primary School, Prey Chrouk Primary School, and Sorsorsdom Primary School. You will find out about what our English programme is, who it is for, and how it is done.

But, first of all, let us explain why we need this programme.

Siem Reap is a small city in Siem Reap Province,  Cambodia, one of the poorest countries in the world. It is the second poorest province in Cambodia despite the economic boom in the past five years, solely driven by tourism which is the only industry in this province. Because English is considered to be the language of the sector, everyone needs to be able to speak and understand it in order to get a job. And because of the fact that education is still a dream to many children (only 15 percent graduate from high school), one of the few means to get them out of the back-breaking work in the fields and show them life choices are possible, is to provide them an education. In this situation, we find the best way is to provide them a free education of the English language .
